For travelling to Opening Ceremony of European Capital of Culture Košice 2013 we recommend to use public transport, which will be on 20th January 2013 for free.
On Sunday 20th January 2013 from 14:00 (02:00 p.m.) to 24:00 (12:00 a.m.) will be public transport which pass trough Námestie osloboditeľov diverted.
- Streetcar (Tram) lines 2 3 4 5 6 7 R1 (bus stop Námestie osloboditeľov):
In both directions will operate without changes, but they may be diverted for security reasons:- Lines 2 5 6 and R1 will be shorten to tram stop Krajský súd.
- Line 3 will be shorten to tram stop Astória.
- Lines 4 and 7 will be diverted to ... - Krajský súd - Zimný štadión - Idanská - SOŠ automobilová - Alejová, školy - Železníky, križovatka - Daňový úrad - Autocamping - VSS, križovatka - ... in both directions.
- Bus & trolleybus lines 10 15 16 20 21 23 25 31 52L 71 72 N1 N2 N71 (bus stop Námestie osloboditeľov):
- In direction Rušňové depo or Palackého or Jakabov palác → Námestie osloboditeľov → Dom umenia or Krajský súd will diverted via Palackého street, Južná trieda and Fejova street to relocated stop Námestie osloboditeľov.
- In direction Dom umenia → Námestie osloboditeľov → Rušňové depo or Palackého or Jakabov palác are lines not changed.
- Buses lines 12 17 36 (at Moyzesova street):
- In both directions will operate in reserved driving lane and stop near of bus stops.
